Newcastle, NSW based singer-songwriter Catherine Britt will release her new album, Home Truths, early next year, her first since 2018’s Catherine Britt & the Cold Cold Hearts. She has already released the standout single ‘I am a Country Song’, which reached #3 on the National Country Top 50 Airplay Chart and number 1 on various radio charts, and has backed it up with ‘Fav’rit Song’ – given that Britt is responsible for many fans’ favourite songs, the title seems apt. And, as the lyric goes, ‘You can really get to know someone if they play their favourite song’. The song and video are both released today.

‘It was an idea I have had for a while based on how my father and I connected over music and later in life, I did the same with my husband,’ says Britt. ‘I always feel like I can really get to know someone when they share their favourite music with me. It helps me to connect and get them completely.’

Britt is an artist whose natural state seems to be connection – to a melody, an idea, a story. ‘Fav’rit Song’ is instantly loveable and will add to the anticipation for the new album.

Britt is currently on a preview tour for Home Truths and if you’ve seen her live on stage or even live-streaming, you’ll know what a powerful performer she is. You can catch her at:
