A couple of months ago Blue Mountains/Dharug country band Storm & Stone released the lovely single ‘Town That Made Me’. Since then the song has appeared on Apple Music’s ‘Aussie Country playlist as well as receiving airplay on 35 radio stations across Australia, and it has been streamed over 10 000 times on Spotify. That success, combined with the streaming popularity of their previous single ‘Bad’ in the US and UK, has led to the band recently appearing on two billboards in New York’s Time Square.

Now the band – which comprises siblings August, Hallelujah and Auriel – have made a video for ‘Town That Made Me’ in collaboration with Thomas Crnkovic from Cranky Dog Productions. The video – which is having its premiere here today – features footage taken in the studio and some of the band’s own candid videos, giving an insight into their music-making process and the joy they find in it.

Say the band’s members, ‘We’ve been incredibly lucky to be surrounded by talented and inspiring people on our journey through life. When we were recording this song, we wanted it to be infused with the immense amount of gratitude we feel for the community of family, friends and people that helped make us who we are today. This video not only showcases the process we went through to make the single, but the people that helped make it. It’s visually our way of saying Thank You To The Town That Made Me.’
