Last year Sarah Leete, a singer-songwriter from Baan Baa, NSW, released two outstanding singles, ‘Nothin’ Special’ and ‘The One That Got Away’. They were her first releases since her self-titled 2017 EP and showed her facility with storytelling that has a slightly unexpected angle, and her vocal ability to deliver those stories in a captivating way. Her most recent single is ‘Used’ and we had a chat about all of those singles, as well as what it’s like to build a career as an artist when you’re in a rural area, and the challenges that have made Leete the artist she is today.
