Jindabyne-born singer-songwriter Brad Cox was the winner of this year’s Toyota Star Maker and his debut, self-titled album was released in May 2018. It includes the song ‘Water on the Ground’, which was written in 2015 after Cox drove through a very dry Central Queensland on the way to the Northern Territory for work. However, the song is especially relevant at the moment, as it describes the predicament facing so many farmers in Cox’s home state of New South Wales as well as other states.
