With her first album, Songs on My Sleeve, Caitlyn Shadbolt reached #1 on the the ARIA country album charts. She’s now announced her second album, Stages, which will be released on 6 November, featuring singles ‘Porcelain’ and ‘Bones’, and she has now released a third single, ‘Edge of the Earth’, co-written by Sarah Buckley from The Buckleys.

Says Shadbolt of this gloriously catchy song, ‘Sarah and I wrote this song after learning that we both love to push the boundaries in life and in music. I feel like this song sums me up well: free spirited, adventurous and … stubborn!  I recorded it with Stuart Stuart during lockdown and engineered all my vocals and acoustic guitars in my home studio, then sent them to Stuart in Brisbane and we collaborated over the phone.’

Golden Guitar and CMC Award winner Christie Lamb has also had an ARIA country album #1 with her latest album, Broken Lines, and she has now released her final single from that album. ‘Old Country Soul’ is about ‘being proud of your roots and loving the simple things in life,’ says Lamb. ‘It is undeniably a modern country song with its heartfelt and earthy lyrics, but true to its title, it’s got a laid-back and soulful influence too.’

The video, made by Duncan Toombs at The Filmery, was filmed entirely in Christie’s home town of Camden, NSW.
