When LeAnn Rimes was 13 years old she released her version of the Bill Mack song ‘Blue’ and launched her career. Gemma Louise, a singer from Clare, South Australia/Ngadjuri land, is 14 and has just released her own version of that classic song, and not only will she remind you that it’s a great song but if you haven’t heard her sing before you’ll be introduced to a stunning new artist whose control of her voice, and the song, would be impressive at any age.

Gemma Louise is already an experienced artist, playing gigs regularly and performs at talent quests, as well as winning multiple categories at the Barmera Country Music Festival, Burra Country Music Festival, Laura Country Music Festival and The Aristocrats Talent Quest at The Tamworth Country Music Festival, in between attending school and fulfilling her commitments on the family property.

Accompanying Gemma Louise on the track are esteemed musicians Stuie French on guitars and bass, and Mick Albeck on fiddle; the song was produced by beloved artist Lyn Bowtell. The accompanying music video was filmed in Queensland and directed by Golden Guitar winner Michael McCartin.
