For many Australian country music fans Amber Lawrence is a very familiar name. She is a five-time Golden Guitar winner – most recently in 2021 for ‘True Blue’, performed with Aleyce Simmonds, Dianna Corcoran and Kirsty Lee Akers – who releases chart-topping albums for children as well as a general audience, plus she hosts her own show on iHeart Radio, as well as filling in from time to time on the ABC’s Saturday Night Country. Lawrence’s most recent single is ‘Fill it Up’, which is partly about doing whatever you need to get through hard times – although, as it turns out, it was written in 2019. We talk about that single, plus her other recent singles ‘Bring it Back’ and ‘I’m Coming Home’, and plenty of other things. The interview is available to watch in YouTube or listen to in Soundcloud.
