When you’ve listened to enough music for enough years, you just know. Y’know? You just know when you’re listening to something special and as much as you’d like to break it down to the lyrics or the chord progression, it’s always the case that the song is greater than the sum of its parts because there’s something indefinably wonderful about it. That is the case with ‘Fallin’ Off the Heartline’, the debut single from NSW Southern Highlands artist Sara Berki. It’s an end-of-love song that, as I found out when I interviewed Berki recently, was very thoughtfully constructed, from an artist whose great trajectory is just beginning.
