The Ten Ton Tinnies are a country rock band who released an album, Tons of Tins, in 2020 and a new single, ‘Simple Life’, in August. While they’re definitely a band you’d want to have playing at your party, they’re also passionate musicians who formed the band in an interesting way, as I found out recently while chatting to one of the band members, Steve. Mark Moldre and his Nambucca Fables - Sunburnt Country Music

Mark Moldre is a singer-songwriter from northern New South Wales. He fronted four-piece band Hitchcock’s Regret for a seven-year period and recorded his first solo release in 2009. His previous album was 2019's Fever Dreams.Moldre's latest album is Nambucca Fables, which combines melodic Americana and indie pop-rock. It is a moving, often dreamlike exploration of grief - specifically, Moldre's grief after his mother died. She grew up in Nambucca Heads, NSW, and it is to this place and his memories of it that he turned to inspire the new album.
