Music festivals have been coming back this year, and stating their intentions for next year – none more strongly than Victoria’s CresFest. Held in the town of Creswick, between Daylesford and Ballarat, CresFest will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2023, and as it’s only 90 minutes’ drive from each of Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo, this three-day multi-generational and inclusive celebration of music, art and culture is conveniently located for many Victorians.
CresFest includes a giant festival parade featuring street bands from across Victoria, to over 100 concerts, music and dance workshops, family events, a busking competition, markets, jam sessions, ‘Courthouse Conversations’ and more.
The initial line-up of musical artists included Kutcha Edwards, Charm of Finches, Kavisha Mazzella, Ami Williamson, While + Matthews (UK), Bush Gothic, Austral, and eminent Victorians – and multiple Golden Guitar winners – The Weeping Willows (pictured).
There has now been a second artist announcement, swelling the already illustrious ranks of performers: Natalie & Brittany Haas (USA), Monique Clare, The Maggie Carty Band, Lucy Wise, Fred Smith, Melbourne Scottish Fiddlers, Greg Champion, Headphones Jones and Archer.
Earlybird Round 2 tickets are now on sale, with limited availability. Go to www.cresfest.com.au for more information and to purchase tickets.
