In June last year Alan Fletcher released the EP Dispatches not long after he’d enjoyed playing his first shows at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, supported by his producers Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella. It was the association with Bryan and Cafarella which led, somewhat organically, to the creation of Fletcher’s new album, The Point, and those two men, with other members of The Wildes, will support Fletcher on his upcoming UK tour. When Fletcher released Dispatches he thought his days playing Dr Karl Kennedy on Neighbours were coming to an end, as the series was cancelled; now he’s fitting in music around acting as Neighbours is back in business. Before that, though, he has those UK tour dates, which you can find below, and we talked about those and other things. You can watch our chat on YouTube, or listen in Soundcloud or on the podcast.
