Lyn Bowtell is one of the most beloved artists in Australian music, let alone Australian country music, and that is with very good reason: she is an exceptional artist, collaborator, mentor and leader within the industry. Those who have been captivated by her voice will forever be fans, and those who have been taught by her or had access to her knowledge and experience can only benefit from them. Bowtell won her tenth Golden Guitar award this year when her latest album, Wiser, was named Best Contemporary Country Album. That came after she had directed the Academy of Country Music through its 2023 term ahead of the Tamworth Country Music Festival and ahead of Bowtell going on the road. She’s playing at:
Thursday, February 16: Lyn Bowtell LIVE @ Oodies Café – Bundaberg North, QLD
Friday, February 17: Lyn Bowtell LIVE @ GTM Music Studios – Beaudesert, QLD
Saturday, February 18: Lyn Bowtell LIVE @ Maleny RSL – Maleny, QLD
Sunday, February 19: Lyn Bowtell LIVE @ Cabarlah Hall, Cabarlah – Cabarlah, QLD
Sunday, February 26: Lyn Bowtell Live @ The Beer Shed – Leumeah, NSW
I’m not even going to pretend to not be a huge fan of Bowtell and her music, and that’s reflected in this interview, which you can watch on YouTube, or listen to in Soundcloud or on the podcast.
