Copperline are a four-piece band from Sydney and the Blue Mountains who released their second album, Borrowed, Broken and Blue, last year. One of the songs from that album, ‘Lucinda’, has been streamed over 150 000 times on Spotify alone, and their songs have been finalists for the International Songwriting Competition, Tamworth Songwriters Association and Australian Songwriters Association.
The band has been on the road already this year, playing the Tamworth Country Music Festival main stage for the first time, amongst other venues. And singer Bradley Christmas has had another gig at the same time: newly published author. Copperline’s latest single is the fierce ‘Gabriel’, which is a provocative tale for modern times, and I spoke to Christmas recently about the song, the album and his book.
