Michael Carpenter is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who has several musical projects on the go at any one time. Michael Carpenter and the Banks Brothers have released 3 albums and an EP and have two nominations in the 2024 Golden Guitar awards. Michael Carpenter and the CRC (Country Rock Collective) have released three singles. And that is, really, just the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to Carpenter’s work.
This interview was a great opportunity to find out how Carpenter manages all the different aspects of his musical world, which involved talking about organisation and how it’s essential to productivity. In the process he had many interesting things to say about creativity and how he sees it and works with it. In general he was fascinating to talk to so hopefully you find him just as interesting to listen to.
