Last year Wagga Wagga, NSW resident and proud Wiradjuri man Nathan Lamont released his debut single ‘Drink You Up’, then he was named a Grand Finalist in this year’s Toyota Star Maker competition, the second time he’s been a grand finalist. He recently appeared on the single ‘My Favourite Summer’ with Loren Ryan and has a new single of his own, ‘Skin to Skin’.
At this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival, Lamont shared a stage with Ryan at the latter’s headline show at Moonshiner’s and demonstrated just why his star is on the rise. We spoke about that show, as well as so much more when we chatted recently. And I’m not even going to pretend to be objective: Lamont is one of my favourite singers and seeing him play live only confirmed what I’d suspected, that he is an artist with so much to offer audiences and music as a whole.
