Sussex Inlet, NSW singer-songwriter Andy Penkow has never been one to shy away from emotional songs or from being vulnerable in his lyrics, and for that he’s been rewarded with four Golden Guitar nominations, four People’s Choice Awards, and two top 3 positions in the Australian Country Album charts.

His latest single, the country-folk song ‘Visiting Hours’, is especially poignant. It was written with acclaimed songwriters Elias James and Rip-Van Parks. As the title suggests, it’s about visiting a loved one in a place that is not home, and with an awareness that it may be fort the last time, as heard in the lyrics ‘The seconds that we borrowed/Not sure how long we’ve got left’.

The song was produced by Michael Moko, who also produced Penkow’s singles ‘Driving You Home’ and ‘Aussie Rain’. It is available now to stream and there is also a moving music video, made by Silver Quinn Productions with MRVP Studios, and it is having its premiere here today.

The clip matches the song perfectly, and also enhances the listening of it, showcasing Penkow’s evolution as an artist. Keep an eye out and ear open for more from Penkow in 2025.
