Jake Davey is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the mid north coast of New South Wales who has released several country pop singles since 2019 and played many festivals. He was a Grand Finalist in Toyota Star Maker in 2022.
Davey has several other jobs as well, including producer and videographer. But everything he did come to a halt several months ago when he suffered a spinal cord injury. He thought he may not walk again, yet he was onstage, performing, during the recent Tamworth Country Music Festival.
His latest single, ‘Second Chance’, acknowledges both his experience and the perspective he’s put it in. And Davey is not only back making music – he’s back doing everything else too. So we talked about that, and his music, and his plans for further releases.
